    Why are your products so inexpensive?

    Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” sell items that don't have a huge profit margin compared to some other sellers, which means you pay closer to wholesale prices, as we deal directly with the dressmakers themselves. The products are exactly the same quality (if not higher quality) as ones you will find in stores. We also don't have the huge costs for a shop-front, so we can afford to charge less for items.

    Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” provides a quality product that we are proud of, for a value-for-money price.

    Can I come to your shop, get measured, and try on items?

    Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” are an online store only, so we do not have a shop that you can visit. However, we do offer a unique personalised experience, such as a FREE Personal Consultation, or a Party Plan. A FREE Personal Consultation means that an independent Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” Representative can meet with you in the comfort of your home, discuss your requirements, show you some sample items, show you some colour swatches, help you with your measurements, and answer any questions you may have. A Party Plan is where we bring all of the items to you, for you and your friends to see, touch, and try-on, and you receive discounts and shopping dollars if there are 3 or more buying guests, and a very achievable total minimum party spend of $300. We generally don't keep stock for you to try, however on a rare occasion we may have a sample gown to show you.

    I love your products, but I'm concerned about ordering over the Internet

    We understand that you may be concerned about purchasing online. Just to reassure you, we are a registered Australian business with an ABN (Kristie Goulding T/A Lingerie and Gowns. ABN: 37 841 307 582), and are committed to providing you with a rewarding shopping experience, and quality items. You have no need to worry about security of payment either, as you can pay securely via Visa or Mastercard through Paypal, cheque/money order, bank deposit, bank transfer, or you can pay cash to your closest independent Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams" Representative. We have also won the 2009 Quest Logan West Leader Business Achiever Award in the Fashion Category, and are a 2010 Appointed Bridal Industry Associate with the ABIA.     Can I choose a specific type of material to make my custom-made item?

    Yes. Our dressmaker can provide suggestions of what materials are best to suit your custom-made items, however in many cases you can select between a variety of materials such as thick bridal satin, silk satin, imitation silk satin, organza, chiffon, charmeuse silk, dupion silk, silk chiffon, and more, with 100s of colours to choose from. We also have access to a variety of multi-coloured printed material (limited quantities), as well as Swarovski crystals.     Can I custom-design an outfit, or have one made from a photo?

    Yes. Custom-made items are created the way you want them, and you can choose to bring your own design, or change an existing design to make your item uniquely yours. If you want to use a different coloured material or a different type of material, add sleeves, remove sleeves, change the neckline, change the colour of beading and embroidery, choose a zip-up or lace-up back, or a combination of zip and lace, remove a train, add a train, or include a variety of other changes, this is all possible to create your own unique and special “dream” outfit. Please Contact Us to discuss your personal requirements, and we can create a unique customized outfit, Made Especially For You! We can also offer a couture service, and we can create your own unique couture gown at incredibly low prices. Please note that it is impossible for us to make a 100% replica from a photo, as lace, beading, and handiwork will be unique, however the item will stay true to the shape and line of the item, just with unique variations to make your item a one-of-a-kind, and unique to any other.

    How can I contact you?

    Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” can be contacted best via Email, or through the Contact Us page. Alternatively, you can phone 1300 874 878, or chat to us on MSN via the email lingerieandgowns@live.com. Please leave a message on our answering machine if you phone us, as quite often we are out visiting clients. We aim to respond to you within 24 hours. If we haven't replied within 5 days, please let us know, as it may mean that we haven't received your message. We live and breathe this business, and it is our passion to help you, so we make every effort to be available to you within flexible hours.

    How can I place an order?

    You can simply place an order through the website, and we will contact you to confirm details, or you can send us an email with the preferred items, and we can supply you with an invoice. Another option is to order directly through a Party Plan or Personal Consultation.

    Do you offer a Party Plan service?

    Yes. Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” can run a Party Plan in the comfort of your own home, provided you have 3 or more buying guests, and a minimum total spend of $300 (which is easily achieved). Your Party Plan can include one, several, or all of the Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” ranges.

    The Party Plan Host will receive discounts depending on how much money is spent. Please see the Party Plans and Consultations page, which has more information about Party Plans and Host benefits.

    How can I become an independent Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” Representative?

    If you would like a fabulous career and become an Independent Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” Representative, please see the details on the Careers page. We have huge demand for our products, and not enough people to assist our clients. We get orders all around Australia, and some from overseas, and we would love to chat with you!

    Can I advertise a preloved gown on your site?

    Not on Fashionista Dreams, but please see our Bridal Dreams and Formal Dreams websites, and you will be able to advertise them there.

    How do I know what size to order?

    All sizes are available! Please visit our Measurements page for information about standard sizing, and taking measurements. Alternatively, you have the option of purchasing a custom-size custom-made item, so therefore the item can be made to your measurements. We will send you a comprehensive measurement sheet once you have placed your order, which will assist you with selecting the correct size, or help you with taking your measurements. We also recommend having a lace-up/corset back, which will compensate for any weight changes between the time you order, and the time you receive it. We also recommend that a seamstress take your measurements for you, to confirm accuracy.

    How do I know which colour or material to order for a custom-made item?

    We have 100s of different colours available, and a variety of different materials to choose from, for your custom-made items. Please visit the Colours and Materials page to obtain information on colours and materials that we have available. If you have a specific colour you want, that is not on the list, Contact Us and we will attempt to source the material for you. Feel free to send us a colour swatch and we will attempt to match it. We are not usually able to post colour swatches due to a large amount of enquiries, but your local independent Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams" Representative will be happy to show you a selection of colour and material swatches for your convenience. If you are unsure about what material to use, please ask us and we will assist you.

    How can I pay for my items?

    Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” accept payment through:

    • PayPal (Visa and Mastercard)
    • Paypal
    • Australian Cheque/Money Order
    • Bank Deposit
    • Bank Transfer
    • Cash

    If paying by cheque/money order, please ensure you put your details (name, invoice number, phone number, email) on the back of the cheque/money order, so we can track where it has come from. Please make the cheque payable to "Lingerie and Gowns".

    Please Contact Us for bank details if you would like to pay via Bank Deposit or Bank Transfer, and ensure that you leave your name as the reference.

    You may pay cash in person by prior arrangement with an independent Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams Representative.

    Can I purchase a Gift Voucher?

    I have a Gift Voucher, how can I use this?

    To use a Gift Voucher, please Contact Us, or alternatively type in the code provided on the Gift Voucher when you check-out. Please kindly note: only one Gift Voucher is accepted per transaction, and Gift Vouchers cannot be pooled together to get further discounts.

    How is my personal information used?

    This site gathers personal information (such as name, address, email, phone number) through the online shopping cart, for the purpose of processing and shipping your orders. Independent Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” Representatives obtain personal information from us to contact you regarding orders and appointments. All information gathered will be kept strictly confidential, and we do not sell your details to any third party. We have a strict Privacy Policy that we adhere to, and you are welcome to unsubscribe from any email correspondence at any time.

    How will my item be posted/shipped?

    All products will be shipped to Australian addresses via Australia Post (either by Express Post or Registered Post) for security reasons. For International orders, please Contact Us before you purchase, so we can give you an accurate shipping method to your country. The sender details will be "L&G" to be discrete.

    How much is postage?

    For orders directly from our website: if the items are being to an address within Australia, postage is FREE for orders over $100. For orders under $100, postage is $10.

    For Party Plan orders: if your ordered items are sent directly to the independent Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams" Representative, who will then deliver the items to the Party Plan Host, then your postage is FREE. If the Host/Representative requests that all of the items are sent from Head Office, straight to the door of the Host, then $10 covers the administration and postage fee, regardless of the size or total amount spent. If Head Office post all Party Plan items directly to each individual guest, postage is $10 per person, per address, to cover the administration and postage fee, regardless of the size, or total amount spent. Please discuss your preferred postage option with your independent Lingerie and Gowns “Dreams” Representative.

    For International orders: please Contact Us before you purchase, so we can give you an accurate shipping fee to your country. An estimated postage fee is $30-$50

    When will my item be posted/shipped?

    Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams" will send your in-stock products to you, once full payment for the items have been received. Please note, this may take a day until the payment clears through Paypal, and up to a week via cheque/money order.

    Some products are currently in stock, so we aim to send them to you within the next business day (if purchased before 12pm). If for reasons beyond our control, the item is not currently in stock due to sizing or colour delays and back-ordering, we will endeavour to rush this item to you as soon as it arrives. Please allow 1-5 weeks for delivery.

    For custom-made items, please allow approximately 12 weeks for delivery. Once we receive the item from the dressmaker, we will aim to post this to you within the next business day. The above times are estimated. We will contact you if the expected shipment time is different to those stated above. We pride ourselves on our quality of product, and speed of delivery, so we will do all we can to ensure that you receive your gorgeous items as soon as possible.

    Will my item be the same colour as what I can see on my screen, or as the colour swatch?

    Due to monitor differences, and differences in materials, wearing and dyes, there may be slight colour differences compared to the images on the website, or on colour swatches. Please allow for slight variations in product colours as this is beyond our control. In some cases, the photo colour will vary slightly to the actual product colour. Keeping this in mind, it is recommended that you order your items together, to ensure that the materials used, are from the same batch/roll of material, and will therefore minimise colour differences.

    Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

    YES! We offer a FULL MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE, or FULL EXCHANGE GUARANTEE on all of our items, if they arrive considerably different to what is described, or if they don't do what they are supposed to do (excludes postage). Please see our Customer Services page for more details.

    You have several dressmakers, what is the difference between them?

    We now have 3 fabulous dressmakers due to the popularity of Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams". Our most recent and newest dressmaker is a Couture Dressmaker, and she currently makes gowns for 2 well-known Bridal Boutiques in Brisbane, one being for a well-known fashion designer. Since she is a Couture Dressmaker, her prices are more expensive. She also takes a little longer to make the gowns, and also provides a photograph of the gown before it is sent to you, so you can see the quality, and advise of any changes if required.

    For the budget-conscious, our Permanent Dressmakers also provide gowns to several Bridal Boutiques, however their gowns are at a discounted price. They are very professional, and their creations are stunning.

    All dressmakers offer excellent quality gowns, however if you decide on the Couture Dressmaker, you can then say that your gown was created by a Couture Dressmaker, for only a fraction of the normal retail price. If you decide on our Permanent Dressmakers, you save even more money. Now the decision is up to you.

    What is considered a rush order?

    We require 12 weeks (3 months) notice to make your custom-made items, to ensure that there is enough time to make them, deliver them to you, and so you can organise any necessary changes or alterations if required. If you order your custom-made items less than 12 weeks in advance, then it is considered to be a rush order, and a 10% surcharge is payable, as we are required to work harder to meet your deadline. We can accept orders up to 4 weeks before the event, however the dressmakers prefer as much time as possible.

    Lingerie and Gowns "Dreams" are still one of the fastest in the industry compared to other sellers, as we only ask for 12 weeks (3 months) whereas other stores have 6-12 month waiting lists. We aim to provide a high quality service with an extremely fast wait-time, and are fairly flexible by offering you a rush order service if required.

    Will my item be exactly the same as what I can see on my screen, or as the one I tried on in a store?

    The items that we have listed and shown on our website, are photos of the original items, so therefore you will receive the same style of item that you purchase from our website. Due to differences in handiwork, there may be slight differences in beading style (size and colour), embroidery, brooches/badges, lace, and pleating, compared to the images shown on the website, and compared to the items you may have seen, or tried on in stores. Please allow for slight variations in custom-made handiwork, as this is beyond our control.

    In regards to images of items that you wish for us to make replicas or copies for you, due to differences in material, beading, and handiwork, we are unable to guarantee or provide an exact 100% copy of an item, from a picture that you provide. We are able to provide an item that is extremely similar to a photo that you provide (90% the same), which stays true to the line of the item, and with similar embellishments, however please expect slight variations in materials, beading, lace, embroidery, and bead patterns, as all work is done by hand by the dressmaker. It is also impossible to make 100% copies of other designs, as the dressmakers simply do not have exactly the same materials and patterns as the original designs. All of our custom-made work is unique, so no two items will be exactly the same, so you can rest assured that your item is a one-of-a-kind, which adds more value to your item as opposed to bulk lots that look exactly the same. The last thing you want is to see another bride wearing the exact same dress as you, so variations are often welcomed as they are more beautiful and unique.

    Do you do alterations?

    No, sorry we can't do alterations to already made items, however we can help you with finding someone suitable in your local area.
